Graduation and Commencement Requirements

To be eligible for graduation, students must meet the following conditions and requirements:

1. Minimum SCUs: Students must have successfully passed at least 146 SCUs and completed all required courses.
2. GPA: A minimum GPA of 2.00 is required.
3. Incomplete Scores: Students must not have an incomplete (I) grade in any subject or course.
4. Additional Points and Hours: Students must have obtained at least 120 SAT points and completed 30 social hours.
5. International Experience: Students must have international experience.
6. Final Defense or Project: Students must have successfully passed the final defense or final project with a minimum grade of C.
7. Thesis and Report Submission: The hardcover thesis (jilid lakban), technical report (if needed), and soft copy of the thesis and technical report must be submitted.
8. Document Submission: Students must submit the following:
   • Photocopy of Identity Card (KTP)
   • 8 passport-size photographs
   • Student Confirmation Data
   • Thesis survey questionnaire
9. Photograph Upload: Students must upload a soft copy of their photograph on Binusmaya.
10. Financial and Administrative Clearance: Students must have no outstanding financial arrears or administrative issues, such as borrowing books from the Library and Knowledge Center.

For students in a double degree program, additional requirements may be set by BINUS UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL’s partner universities. These requirements are unique to each program and may change periodically.

Graduation Completion and Predicate: Once a student completes all program requirements, a completion date and the student’s name will be recorded for graduation. If a student does not meet the graduation criteria at BINUS UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL, they will not be eligible to graduate from the partner university.

Graduation Predicates:

• Summa Cum Laude: GPA 3.91 – 4.00
• Magna Cum Laude: GPA 3.76 – 3.90
• Cum Laude: GPA 3.51 – 3.75

Note: All graduation requirements must be completed on time, no later than the 4th semester. This includes achieving a minimum grade of B for all courses and the thesis. There should be no retake courses, and no extensions for the thesis or semesters.
