What is the First-Year Student Mentoring Program?

First-year students (commonly referred to as Freshmen) will be mentored by senior students during their first year, specifically in the first and second semesters. Through this program, Freshmen receive guidance to help them navigate the transition period into university life.

What topics will Freshmen explore during this program?

The program covers a variety of topics, including foundational skills in communication and self-management, self-awareness, study strategies, academic planning, exam preparation, and collaboration skills within group settings. Beyond equipping Freshmen with these skills, the program also helps develop the Binus Graduate Attributes and Binusian Values. Additionally, there is a focus on fostering familiarity with the use of English.

What activities will Freshmen participate in during this program?

Throughout the first year, Freshmen will attend sessions to discuss various topics designed to support their academic journey. Senior student mentors are available to facilitate and ensure a smooth adjustment to university life.

Additionally, Freshmen can participate in various optional activities, such as the Freshmen Seminar, Freshmen Quiz, and other events. The program culminates in Freshmen Day, a celebratory event recognizing those who successfully complete their first year.
