Parents play an important role in supporting students’ success throughout their academic journey at BINUS University. This support can be provided by:

  • Seeking complete and accurate information regarding the academic system, graduation requirements, and applicable academic policies.
  • Monitoring students’ academic progress regularly, allowing parents to stay informed about their achievements and provide assistance when challenges arise.
  • Participating in activities that enhance their understanding of topics such as parenting, young adult development, and other relevant subjects.

BINUS University has prepared various programs for parents, starting from the orientation period for new students and continuing throughout the students’ academic journey.

Why Should Parents Participate in BINUS University Programs?

Parents are one of the key factors in helping students successfully complete their studies on time. By becoming partners of the university, parents can take an active role in providing appropriate guidance and support that aligns with students’ needs.

Programs Available for Parents

BINUS University offers several programs designed specifically for parents:

1. Parent’s Day

This program is conducted during the First Year Program (student orientation) and is attended by parents, Binusian Leaders, and Program/Study Program Management.

The objectives of Parent’s Day are to:

  • Provide parents with important academic information.
  • Encourage parents to monitor and support their children’s academic progress.
  • Create opportunities for discussion between parents and Program/Study Program Management.

During this event, parents are also introduced to the Parent Portal, a dedicated platform that serves as a communication and information channel between parents and the university.

2. Webinar for Parents

This program is conducted at least once a year and features qualified speakers discussing relevant topics, such as:

  • Healthy communication with university students.
  • Young adult development.
  • How to cope with failure and setbacks.
  • Other topics that support the role of parents in guiding their children.

The webinar aims to broaden parents’ knowledge and equip them with practical insights to better support students throughout their university experience.
