Yes, you can. However, there are several conditions that must be met for students to be allowed to retake courses in the same semester as taking the Thesis.
Requirements for Retaking Courses While Taking the Thesis:
-
Maximum Total of 24 Credits (SKS)
The total number of courses taken, including the Thesis and all previously failed courses, must not exceed 24 credit units in a single semester. However, it is important to note that some departments have specific policies regarding the maximum number of credit units that may be taken, such as SOCS with a maximum of 19 credits, SOD with a maximum of 10 credits, and Architecture with a maximum of 14 credits. -
Retaken Courses Must Not Be Thesis Prerequisites
You are not allowed to retake any course that is a prerequisite for the Thesis. All prerequisite courses must be passed before you are eligible to take the Thesis. - The failed course must be offered in the same semester as the Thesis.
If the failed course is not offered in the same semester as the Thesis, the student will not be able to register for the Thesis in that semester.
