Transferring to a different program or study program involves specific steps and requirements. Below is a detailed guide to help you navigate the process at Bina Nusantara University:
Program/Study Program Transfer
1. Eligible Semesters for Transfer
Program transfers can be conducted during the following semesters:
- Semester 2 (for course registration in Semester 3).
- Semester 3 (for course registration in Semester 4).
- Semester 4 (for course registration in Semester 5).
- Semester 5 (for course registration in Semester 6).
Note: Students must meet the entry requirements (Science/Arts) according to the criteria for new students.
2. Student Status and Payments
To apply for a program transfer, students must:
- Be actively registered at Bina Nusantara University.
- Have settled all payments:
- For odd semester transfers, payments must be completed up to the preceding even semester.
- For even semester transfers, payments must be completed up to the preceding odd semester.
3. Transfer Terms and Fees
The transfer will follow the latest cohort’s terms and conditions, including:
- Tuition and Fees:
- Payment of DP3 contributions, equipment fees, and laboratory fees (if the invoiced amount exceeds the previously paid amount, the student must cover the difference. Excess payments will not be refunded or transferred).
- Payment of BP3 fees for the first semester.
- Payment for credits (SKS) in the first semester based on allocated credits.
- Payment for textbooks (if applicable).
- Additional fees for program components not included in the original program, such as Dual Award fees.
Important: If the transfer is approved, the student is officially considered withdrawn from their original program, and credit transfers will be determined by the Program Head of the destination program.
Program Transfer Process
1. Pre-Transfer Preparation
- Settle All Tuition Fees: Ensure all outstanding payments for the original program are completed.
- Consult with a Counselor:
- Schedule a session via BINUS Counseling Services.
- Obtain a recommendation for the transfer.
- Prepare a Transfer Application Letter: Address the letter to the Program Head of your current program.
2. Interviews and Approvals
- Attend interviews and tests (if required).
- Present the application letter to the Program Heads of both the original and destination programs for approval.
3. Submission of Transfer Application
- Pay the registration fee according to the current rate at the Student Services Office of your campus.
- Submit the following:
- Transfer Application Letter.
- Approval Letter from the Program Head of your original program.
- Obtain and complete the Transfer Application Form.
4. Post-Approval Steps
If your transfer application is APPROVED:
- Credit Equivalency: Receive results and confirmation via email from Student Services.
- Payment: Pay the tuition fees for the destination program and submit proof of payment before the deadline.
- Registration: Follow the registration procedures for each semester.
If your transfer application is REJECTED:
- You must continue your studies in your original program.
