Review of Grades

Students who believe that an error may have occurred or that their final grade for a course does not accurately reflect the assessment results may request a review of their grade within seven (7) days from the date on which the results are released on the BINUS student website.

Students wishing to request a grade review are required to submit their request to Student Mark & Graduation through Student Services by completing the Marking Grievance Form.

All requests for grade review will be processed in accordance with the applicable academic policies and procedures of BINUS UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL.

Repeating Courses

Under certain circumstances, students may be required to repeat, or may be permitted to choose to repeat, a course in which they have received a grade of D, E, or F. If a course is repeated, the highest grade obtained will replace the lower grade in accordance with the applicable academic regulations.

Students are advised to carefully consider the academic and scheduling implications of repeating a course, as doing so may affect their study plan and may result in an extension of the originally planned period of study. Any academic overload undertaken for the purpose of repeating a course, including enrollment in more than the standard maximum of 21 SCUs per semester, shall be subject to the applicable requirements and restrictions governing academic overloads under BINUS UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL policies.

The following provisions apply to course repetition:

1. Courses with a grade of D

A course in which a student has received a grade of D must be retaken under either of the following circumstances:

The minimum acceptable grade for the course is C; or
The student's GPA is below 2.00, and the grade of D would result in the student becoming ineligible for graduation.

2. Courses with a grade of E or F

A course in which a student has received a grade of E or F must be retaken if the course is a core course within the student's major area of study.

3. Elective courses with a grade of E or F

A student may choose to retake an elective course in which an E or F grade has been received. Alternatively, the student may replace the failed elective with another elective course, provided that the student continues to fulfill the minimum graduation requirement of 146 SCUs.

Students who have been formally declared eligible for graduation are not permitted to retake a course for the purpose of improving, replacing, or making up a grade.
