BINUS Support provides guidance on the use of information technology services to support students’ academic activities, including access to the BINUS-Access Wi-Fi network. This network serves as the primary internet connectivity within the campus environment.

For users of iOS devices (iPhone/iPad), certain settings must be adjusted before logging in. This article aims to guide students through the Wi-Fi configuration and login process to ensure optimal connectivity.

Overview of BINUS-Access

BINUS-Access is the official BINUS Wi-Fi network that requires students to authenticate using their BINUS email account. On iOS devices, several built-in privacy features need to be adjusted to ensure a smooth authentication process.

A. BINUS-Access Wi-Fi Configuration (iOS)

Before logging in, please ensure that the Wi-Fi settings on your iOS device are configured as follows:

  1. Open the Settings menu on your iOS device.

  2. Select Wi-Fi.

  3. Find and select the Wi-Fi network with SSID: BINUS-Access.

  4. Tap the More Options icon.

  5. Set Private Wi-Fi Address to Fixed
(an iOS privacy feature that keeps the device’s Wi-Fi address consistent).

  6. Set Limit IP Address Tracking to Disable
(an iOS privacy feature that limits IP address tracking).

These settings are required so that the BINUS network system can recognize the device consistently and prevent authentication failures.

B. Login to the BINUS-Access Portal

After completing the Wi-Fi configuration, proceed with the login steps below:

  1. Open a browser on your iOS device (recommended: Chrome or Safari).

  2. Enter the following address in the address bar:
    https://access.apps.binus.ac.id

  3. Enter your BINUS email username and password:

    • The username should be entered without @binus.ac.id.

  4. Click the Login button.

  5. If the login is successful, the page will display the connection status, indicating that your device is connected to the BINUS-Access network.

Important Notes

  • Ensure that Private Wi-Fi Address and Limit IP Address Tracking settings have been adjusted before logging in.

  • Wi-Fi settings should be rechecked after an iOS system update.

  • Login issues are commonly caused by:

    • Incorrect Wi-Fi configuration.

    • Unstable Wi-Fi connection.

    • Incorrect username or password entry.

  • If login fails repeatedly, students may try selecting Forget This Network, then repeat the Wi-Fi configuration and login process from the beginning.

If students continue to experience issues while configuring or logging in to the BINUS-Access Wi-Fi network on iOS devices, they may contact BINUS Support through the official support channels.

BINUS Support is ready to assist and provide further guidance to ensure campus network services can be used optimally to support academic activities.
