What Are Services for Students with Special Needs (SSN) or Disabilities?

Disability Services are facilities provided by BINUS University to support students with special needs or disabilities. The primary purpose of these services is to provide appropriate assistance so that students can participate in the learning process optimally and on an equal basis with their peers.

These services focus not only on academic support but also on helping students adapt to the university environment while promoting their psychological and social well-being.

1. Counseling for Students and Parents
   This service aims to support students with special needs in adjusting to university life and academic activities. It also provides guidance for parents so they can effectively support their children’s educational journey.
2. Capacity Building Programs
   These programs include training sessions and educational activities for students, parents, and the BINUS academic community on disability-related topics. Such initiatives help build awareness and equip stakeholders with strategies to support students with special needs effectively.
3. Disability Awareness Programs and Activities

Who Is Eligible to Access Disability Services?

These services are available to:

• Students with Special Needs/Disabilities
  • Particularly those who have disclosed their disability status during the new student admission process.
  • However, students who did not initially disclose their condition but encounter challenges during their studies may also contact the Student Advisory team at their respective campus.
• Lecturers and Other Students
  Lecturers and students may seek consultation and guidance on how to interact effectively with students with special needs, both inside and outside the classroom, to help create an inclusive learning environment.
