Scopus is one of the world’s largest bibliographic databases, covering a wide range of disciplines such as science, technology, medicine, arts, and social sciences. Developed by Elsevier, Scopus is designed to help researchers, academics, and students access and analyze high-quality scholarly literature.

Why is Scopus Important?

Scopus serves as a primary reference source because it provides millions of verified articles from international journals, conference proceedings, and scholarly books. With proper access, BINUS students and faculty can leverage Scopus to support research, theses, and the development of academic work.

Key Features of Scopus

  1. Extensive Scholarly Literature Search
Includes millions of articles from indexed journals, conference proceedings, and academic books.

  2. Indexing and Abstracts
Each article comes with an abstract, making it easy to preview the content before downloading the full text.

  3. Selective Journal Indexing
Only high-quality journals that meet strict criteria are indexed in Scopus.

  4. Research Impact Measurement
Provides citation metrics such as h-index and citation counts to evaluate research contributions.

  5. Author Profiles and Collaboration Network
Displays author profiles and collaboration information, helping researchers build academic networks.
