What is PTTAK?

Peraturan Tata Tertib Aktivitas Kemahasiswaan (PTTAK) are a set of provisions consisting of rights, obligations, prohibitions, and sanctions that students must adhere to while on campus.

What is the purpose of PTTAK?

The purpose of PTTAK is to create a conducive environment and ensure that the teaching and learning process runs in an organized, orderly, and disciplined manner. This can be illustrated by traffic rules: without traffic lights to regulate the flow of vehicles from different directions, accidents and traffic jams would be inevitable.

Prohibitions & Sanctions in PTTAK

PTTAK outlines certain prohibitions that may be addressed based on factors such as the impact of the violation, its intensity, the number of people involved, and the frequency of the violation. Sanctions for violations are categorized into three levels:

  • Minor Sanctions: Verbal warning, prohibition from entering campus areas

  • Moderate Sanctions: Graduation delay, 1-semester suspension

  • Severe Sanctions: Suspension for more than 1 semester, expulsion (drop out)

Additionally, there are specific prohibitions considered as special violations that carry fixed sanctions regardless of their frequency or intensity.

What should students know about sanction review if they violate PTTAK?

PTTAK also regulates students’ rights to appeal a decision by following the applicable terms and conditions.

If a sanction is imposed by the Rector, the student may submit a written objection with supporting evidence and reasons to the Rector through the Examiner or Disciplinary Committee no later than one (1) week after the sanction is issued.

Where can students access PTTAK documents?

For complete information, students are encouraged to read and understand the following document: PTTAK.
